Andy Lau × Alan Seow : A Musical Bond ！ “Legendary Cantopop Classics” Showcase the Charms of Midlife

TVB’s Midlife, Sing & Shine! 3 breakout stars Andy Lau Chwang Ming and Alan Seow Vie Loon officially debuted as the “Double A” duo with their first-ever Legendary Cantopop Classics concert held recently at Jazz Up 9 Lounge in Kuala Lumpur. The venue was packed to capacity, with a heartwarming and high-energy atmosphere throughout the evening. Among the audience were fans who had flown in all the way from Hong Kong just to support their idols up close — a gesture that deeply moved both singers.

The concert opened with Alan Seow soulful rendition of Leslie Cheung’s classic For Your Heart Only. Breaking the ice with charm, he joked, “I might be the tallest male singer in all of Malaysia — maybe even Hong Kong!” The lighthearted moment drew instant laughter from the crowd. He then sincerely thanked his fans: “Thank you for flying all the way from Hong Kong, and for the beautiful LED signs — I saw every single one of them.”

Though he seemed relaxed on stage, Alan admitted he was so nervous at one point that he felt “short of breath.” However, when he launched into You Are My Woman, the crowd erupted in cheers, sending the energy soaring.

For Andy Lau, the concert was an unforgettable milestone. “This is the first concert of my life,” he said emotionally. “I was really nervous, but incredibly happy. Thank you so much for flying in from Hong Kong, and for the flowers and red packets — I hope everyone enjoys tonight!”

He surprised the crowd with a partial performance of the Thai version of Love Destiny, earning waves of applause. His entire family was also present to show their support, adding an emotional touch to the evening.

The duo displayed great chemistry on stage. At one point, Andy briefly forgot the next song, prompting Alan to quip, “It’s fine — we’re from Midlife, Sing & Shine! after all!” The moment was met with laughter and applause. Andy then performed I Should Have and thoughtfully wished the audience a “Happy Father’s Day,” striking a chord with the crowd.

Alan took a moment to pay tribute to Leslie Cheung, the late icon who played a pivotal role in his rise to popularity. “It was through covering Leslie’s songs that people started to notice me. Every time I sing You're My Dearest, I get emotional — the song means so much to me,” he shared.

Meanwhile, Andy performed How Much Love Can Be Repeated, the song he competed with on Midlife, Sing & Shine 3. He revealed that his biggest motivation for joining the competition was the support of his mentor and his beloved wife.

The entire evening was filled with emotion, passion, and music that resonated deeply with the audience. With heartfelt vocals and sincere performances, Double A led the crowd through laughter, tears, and thunderous applause — a beautiful punctuation to their musical journey thus far, and the exciting beginning of many more stages to come.

Chris Cheong, a fellow contestant from Midlife, Sing & Shine! 3, made a surprise appearance at the concert to cheer on Double A in person!

Andy’s wife and son traveled from their hometown to Kuala Lumpur to support him throughout the event — filling the evening with warmth and love.

Alan Siu Wai Lun’s fans flew all the way from Hong Kong to Malaysia to support him, showing their dedication with their presence and heartfelt efforts.
