Janice Vidal to Serenade Malaysia This November! Mystery Guest to Be Revealed, with Shila Amzah Among Her Favorites!

Hong Kong’s “Queen of Love Songs,” Janice Vidal, will be bringing her 20th Anniversary World Tour “OUT OF FRAME” to Malaysia on November 1, 2025, marking her long-awaited return after more than a decade. Expressing her excitement, Janice shared, “I’ve always missed Malaysia and my fans here!” She also revealed her love for local delicacies, especially baked buns, joking that she plans to “indulge to her heart’s content” this time, while fondly recalling how fans had once gifted her plenty of them as a token of love.

The “OUT OF FRAME” world tour is Janice’s way of celebrating two decades in music together with her fans. Reflecting on her journey, she admitted that leaving her former label of 18 years two and a half years ago was daunting: “It was scary to take that step, but I felt I was stuck in my comfort zone with no progress. Even if I was afraid, I had to break out of it.” Starting her own company was a fresh beginning, filled with challenges and tears, yet she held firm to her belief: “I cried many times, but I told myself to keep going. Once you take that first step, many doors will open for you.”

As for the Malaysia concert, Janice revealed that each city will have a specially curated setlist inspired by local culture, adding that Malaysia holds a special place in her heart. Hinting at surprises, she teased, “I might even sing in Malay.” When pressed about the mystery guest for the concert, she playfully kept it under wraps: “If I told you, you’d know right away. I’d rather keep it a surprise until the concert day!” She also expressed admiration for Malaysian pop diva Shila Amzah, saying, “I noticed her during ‘Singer,’ and I’ve always admired her voice. I hope we can collaborate in the future.”

In recent years, Janice has gained renewed attention through appearances on variety shows such as Infinity and Beyond: Greater Bay Area and Singer 2025. Despite her stage experience, she admitted to being a true “I” (introvert), recalling how nervous she was on the first day of filming: “It felt like the first day of school, but seeing some familiar faces really helped ease my nerves.” On whether she would consider joining the hit reality show Sisters Who Make Waves, she responded candidly: “I wouldn’t rule it out. They actually invited me before, but the timing wasn’t right as I had just left my old company. Hopefully, there will be another chance in the future.”
