The Queen Returns - Power, Media, and a Battle for Truth

Man Wai-sum retired from the media six months ago, and SNK news is completely transformed. Kingston Koo takes the helm as he is abruptly appointed as the new director. Deputy Director Cheung Ka-yin takes over Leung King-yan’s status. Lau Yim sets up an online media open platform, and Hui Sze-ching becomes Information Officer. Kingston wants to use a news story to elevate SNK’s reputation and consolidate his “king” status. Kingston only wants the spotlight, while Wai-sum wants to reconstruct the truth.

Meanwhile, an old building abruptly collapses, Ka-yin and her apprentice Lau Yim engage each other in a battle of wits, setting the stage for a struggle between conventional mainstream media and emerging autonomous media. While taking aerial photos from a helicopter, Wai-sum announces her return to the news frontline with an authoritative “queen” demeanor!
