TVB Mahjong Brain Fitness Championship 2026 Main Competition Rules
1. Cantonese Mahjong Rules
The competition will be conducted in accordance with traditional Cantonese mahjong rules. All scoring patterns and calculations will follow standard Cantonese mahjong regulations.
2. Minimum One Fan to Win; Flowers Not Counted
A minimum of one fan is required to declare a winning hand.
Flower tiles will not be counted toward scoring, and no additional points will be awarded for flowers.
3. Dealer Rotation After Every Win
Whether the winning hand is self-drawn or claimed from another player, the dealer position will rotate after each win.
The dealer does not retain the dealership after winning. Rotation will proceed in sequence to ensure fairness and maintain the pace of play.
4. Maximum 4 Rounds; 3-Hour Time Limit
Each match will consist of a maximum of 4 rounds (East, South, West, North).
If the 3-hour time limit is reached, play will stop immediately and final scores will be calculated based on accumulated points.
If 4 rounds are not completed within the time limit, the scores at the end of regulation time will determine the final result.
