TVBI Company Limited (TVBI) officially launched its brand-new original Cantonese Chinese New Year song, “All In For The New Year” today. The festive track brings together eight Malaysian artistes—Rax Teh, Xair Pang, Andy Lau, Alan Seow, Ezen Chan, Zev Leong, Vincent Chin and Tyrell Low —who unite to welcome the Year of the Horse with an upbeat rhythm and high-spirited energy.
Composed by Madison Lau with lyrics by Jazz Ying, the song draws inspiration from the commonly used Cantonese phrase “Hou Gan Yiu” (“It’s very important”), a colloquial expression frequently heard in the composer’s daily life. Its warm sense of familiarity and strong local character inspired the creation of a festive anthem infused with rich Cantonese charm and joyful New Year spirit. The lyrics incorporate playful and auspicious phrases such as “Prosper”, “Strong”, “Smooth” and “Beautiful” making the song highly memorable while symbolising good fortune, success, and positivity for the year ahead.
The music video is directed by Wen Hao, who described the filming process as “fun and energetic,” praising the strong chemistry and dedication of all eight artistes. He hopes the MV showcases a more genuine, charming, and entertaining side of the performers, allowing audiences to connect with them in a fresh and light-hearted way.
