Janice Vidal’s “OUT OF FRAME” World Tour made its much-anticipated stop in Malaysia on Saturday night at the Arena of Stars, drawing thousands of fans to a sold-out show. The concert continued her tour’s signature “Mystery Box Surprise” segment, as Janice treated fans to the Malaysia-exclusive song “Chocolate Ice.” She later surprised the audience by stepping off the stage to greet fans up close, sending the crowd into a frenzy of cheers and excitement.

This Malaysia stop marked not only the first overseas show of the “OUT OF FRAME” world tour, but also Janice’s long-awaited return to Malaysia after 17 years, reuniting her with local fans who have supported her since the beginning of her career. Opening the night with her classic hit “一格格 (Every Single Inch),” Janice went on to perform a string of fan favorites including “离家出走 (Run Away from Home),” “街灯晚餐 (Dinner Under Streetlights),” “心乱如麻 (Complicated Heart),” “阴天假期 (Rainy Holiday),” and “就算世界无童话 (Even If the World Has No Fairytales),” captivating the audience with her soulful voice and heartfelt delivery.

Showcasing her musical artistry, Janice picked up a guitar for a touching self-accompanied performance of “Only Love.” Fans shouted “I love you!” repeatedly, to which she responded with a bright smile, asking, “How do you say ‘I love you’ in Malay?” The audience eagerly replied, “Aku cinta padamu!” and Janice repeated it sweetly, adding, “Thank you to all my fans who have supported me from day one and never forgotten me.” She continued with a laugh, “I know some of you even travel from other cities to see me I sometimes worry, do you ever get bored hearing the same songs every time?” The crowd immediately shouted back, “Never!” creating a warm and heartwarming moment.

The night’s mystery guest turned out to be a true highlight — as Janice performed “杂技 (Acrobat),” Malaysia’s very own powerhouse vocalist Jeryl Lee (李佩玲) made a surprise appearance on stage. It was their first-ever collaboration, and their blend of strength and tenderness created magical chemistry. Under the stage lights, their voices intertwined beautifully, earning thunderous applause and cheers from the crowd.

Adding to the fan service, Janice even stepped off stage to shake hands and interact with fans personally a gesture that left many deeply moved.

As the encore approached, the familiar intro of “大哥 (Big Brother)” filled the arena, prompting fans to sing along passionately. The powerful chorus and shared emotion turned the performance into a moving finale, perfectly wrapping up the first overseas stop of Janice Vidal’s “OUT OF FRAME” World Tour.

In a sweet show of support, Malaysian singer Michael Wong (光良) also sent Janice a congratulatory flower stand to wish her concert great success a thoughtful gesture that added to the night’s celebratory mood.
