Release date: 2025-07-08 17:40 | Malaysia Community News

TVB’s “Best Actor” Owen Cheung and “Best Supporting Actress” Kelly Fu recently teamed up for a commercial shoot in Malaysia. During their downtime, the duo took part in a local media interview and embarked on a fun-filled culinary tour—complete with plenty of laughs and surprises.

A frequent visitor to Malaysia, Owen acted as the perfect guide for Kelly, who was visiting the country for the first time. Not only did he take her on a food-hunting adventure, he also showed true camaraderie by joining her for some durian tasting—even though he had avoided the fruit for years. “I haven’t touched durian in ages, but for friendship’s sake, I gave it a try,” he laughed. “Even after two showers, the smell still lingered!”

Kelly was thrilled to finally make it to Malaysia, expressing her excitement: “I’ve always been envious of colleagues who got to come here. The people are warm, the food is delicious, and everyone’s always smiling!” A self-proclaimed durian enthusiast, she admitted to devouring over a dozen pieces in one go. “I’m already breaking out! I have to start filming again soon—might need a bigger costume when I get back,” she joked.

Besides durian, Kelly also revealed her love for spicy food and even packed some sambal sauce to take back to Hong Kong. Meanwhile, Vincent wasn't ready for the food tour to end. “I haven’t even tried bak kut teh or prawn noodles yet!” he said, drawing laughter from the press.

On the professional front, Kelly shared that she will be starring in the upcoming drama Wars of the Roses, produced by Chung Shu Kai. The series, told from a strong female perspective, explores both the light and dark sides of womanhood. “I’m really looking forward to it,” she said. She’ll also make a guest appearance in the highly anticipated News Queen 2, filming parts of it in Hong Kong.

Owen Cheung, on the other hand, will be teaming up with actress Elaine Yiu for a musical concert titled Black & White Romance in Guangzhou. The two previously co-starred in the action series The Invisibles, and their new show will be presented in the format of a romantic musical. He also expressed hope to bring the concert to Malaysia, adding with a smile, “When that happens, make sure to buy a ticket and come support us!”

While dining at a local restaurant, Owen Cheung and Kelly Fu happened to be present during a university graduation celebration. Excited graduates quickly gathered around, eager to snap photos with the stars. True to their down-to-earth image, both actors warmly obliged, turning the spontaneous moment into an impromptu fan meet-and-greet.

In addition to the media group interview, individual interviews were also arranged. Both Owen Cheung and Kelly Fu demonstrated exceptional professionalism, diligently participating in each session with sincerity and enthusiasm—showcasing the dedication expected of true professionals.
