Renowned as the “Evergreen Legend of the Chinese Music Scene,” Alan Tam made a highly anticipated return to Malaysia after nine years with his Legend of Classics concert tour — and he wasted no time proving why he remains “forever 25.” The moment he took the stage, he launched into a powerful three-hour marathon of timeless hits, with every familiar intro, the audience instantly transformed into a massive choir, filling the arena with roaring singalongs.

The excitement escalated further when the concert shifted into the upbeat segment. With a single shout — “Stand up and dance!” Alan sent the entire venue into full party mode. Fans jumped to their feet and grooved along to Cold Summer Breeze, Goddess of the Storm, and Kara Forever OK, turning the hall into a giant dance floor. Even Alan himself couldn’t stop moving, feeding off the crowd’s explosive energy.

After a costume change, Alan returned with even more firepower for the encore, belting out fan favorites including You Know I Know, The Wind Chaser, A Caring Puppet, and Love Trap, pushing the atmosphere to yet another peak. He later switched to a more solemn tone to announce the fundraising total and closed with his classic anthem Friends, dedicating it to Malaysian fans with heartfelt words:
“Where there is hardship, there will be support. I hope this song carries love and strength to those affected by the tragedy in Hong Kong.”

One of the most emotional highlights of the night was Alan deep concern for his hometown. Following the devastating Level 5 fire at Hong Fook Court in Tai Po on the 26th which resulted in severe casualties Alan took the stage with a heavy heart. Despite performing abroad, he remained connected to Hong Kong and, together with the organizers, initiated an on-site fundraising appeal.
The response was overwhelming. By the end of the night, the venue erupted as Alan announced the results: RM29,992 from audience donations, RM200,000 contributed by Star Planet, and an impressive RM300,000 personally pledged by Alan himself pushing the total to over HKD 1 million. Emotionally moved, he thanked Malaysian fans twice with a resounding “Thank you, everyone!”

In total, Alan Tam donated RM300,000 personally, Star Planet added RM200,000, and together with fans’ contributions, the night’s fundraising amount reached RM655,373 (approximately HKD1.228 million). All funds were verified on-site by licensed audit firm CCS & Co PLT and will be fully donated to the Tai Po Hong Fook Court Relief Fund set up by the Hong Kong SAR Government to support families affected by the disaster.

The evening also featured a special collaboration as Taichi Band’s vocalist, Patrick Lui joined Alan as a backup vocalist and duet partner for several songs, delighting longtime fans.

For audiences unable to attend in person, the Malaysia stop of Alan Tam’s Legend of Classics Tour was broadcast live across six major cinemas nationwide — including Seremban, Penang, and Kuala Lumpur allowing fans across the country to experience Tam’s enduring charm and emotional powerhouse of a performance in real time.
